Inflammaging: Chronic Low-Grade Inflammation and Health

The Role of Osteopathic Medicine

“To find health should be the object of the doctor.  Anyone can find disease.” (Andrew Taylor Still in Philosophy of Osteopathy).

A state of chronic, low-grade inflammation appears to develop within tissues and progressively worsen with age in most individuals.  Understanding this process and the factors that moderate it represent a major goal in maintaining good health.

In this two-day seminar we will examine the impact of chronic, low-grade inflammation on multiple organ systems and, ultimately, on the health of the individual.

In conclusion we will look at the effects of physical activity on modifying the metabolic structure of the individual and its role suppression of inflammaging and restoration of health.
